Tae Kwon Do Instructors in Eagle Mountain

Master Ashley Ningcharoen

After getting bullied and beaten up at 9 years old, I decided I wanted to learn how to defend myself. I studied Taekwondo under Korean Grandmaster Yong Shin in Camarillo, California. I loved Taekwondo. It built my confidence, taught me how to protect myself, and gave me another family to be a part of. I started assisting my instructor as a blue belt, helping other students prepare for advancement. I love helping them. I have been teaching ever since. It’s amazing to see students starting out being shy and timid. But in just a few months, our students built confidence, made friends, and learned to be leaders. They push themselves outside their comfort zones and overcome obstacles and challenges! I had the opportunity to work with at-risk youth in a facility, teaching them Taekwondo and the philosophies that go with it. When these youth were at their lowest, feeling like they could never change and life was hopeless, the philosophies of Taekwondo changed them. They shaped them to be the competent adults they are today. Taekwondo has truly changed their lives, and I am blessed to be a part of that journey. I love being a Taekwondo instructor, creating a safe environment where families can come to learn and grow together.

Miss Jaylin Ningcharoen

I began taekwondo when I was 4 years old. My mom put me in to learn self-defense. Though, I have learned so much more than that. I gained confidence, discipline, endurance, perseverance, control, humility, and most of all, I gained another family. The friends I gained through taekwondo would always cheer for one another and comfort each other through our ups and downs. At State 2023 I didn’t place first. My friends and family still came to congratulate me and let me know they were still proud. They also believed that I could win next time. My friends and Instructors pushed me to believe more in myself. I became a state champion in the 2024 state championships. As an instructor, I love teaching students to believe in themselves, just as my instructors had taught me. I love seeing their faces when they overcome challenges they didn’t think they could. I love Taekwondo. It has shaped me into who I am today.

Mr. Xander Claycomb

I was about 10 years old when I started Taekwondo right after I moved to Utah. My mom signed me up since I wasn’t confident or strong. With time, I gained more confidence and better endurance. It was hard, and it kept getting harder yet, so I pushed myself to keep trying. When I was preparing for my Black Belt test, I began to get discouraged. I kept practicing the same things over and over but felt no progress. There was so much I had to practice and make better. It got overwhelming. I didn’t know if I was going to be able to pass my test. I was an assistant instructor at the time. I saw all the students I was teaching try their very hardest for their tests even if their curriculum was smaller than mine, which gave me hope. I overcame my fear, and all my years of practice had paid off. Through hard work and dedication, I earned my Black Belt. I’ve been in Taekwondo for 7 years now. I’ve been an instructor for over 2 years. After assisting Master Ning as a red/black belt, I fell in love with teaching and kept doing it ever since. Taekwondo has made me a better person overall. I’m glad I did it.

Miss Elesha Monson

I started taekwondo in 2019 with my brother and sister, and at the time, we were taught by Master Flora. When COVID hit, Master Flora retired. He told us that we could transfer schools, and we joined Ning Taekwondo. It took me 5 long and hard years to become a black belt, but I wouldn’t change it for anything. Being able to earn a black belt with my two siblings has been a blessing in disguise. It has strengthened our relationship in many ways. I love being an instructor and being able to help the students learn to respect others and themselves as they progress in their taekwondo journey. Being in taekwondo has taught me to be respectful and to have discipline. It has taught me to be more confident in my life! I love taekwondo and the people that I do it with. I have made so many new friends! I am so grateful to Master Ning for the time she has spent teaching me and helping me to improve.
